iOS (iPhone/iPad)

  1. Open Safari and navigate to this page
  2. Tap the Share button (square with arrow pointing up) at the bottom of the screen
  3. Scroll down and tap "Add to Home Screen"
  4. Customize the name if desired, then tap "Add"
  5. The SOSIK icon will appear on your home screen

Android

  1. Open Chrome and navigate to this page
  2. Tap the Menu button (three dots) in the top-right corner
  3. Select "Add to Home screen" or "Install app"
  4. Confirm by tapping "Add" or "Install"
  5. The SOSIK icon will appear on your home screen

Once added, you can launch SOSIK directly from your home screen, and it will work like a native app!

Got a friend or family member who is K-POP obsessed? Looking to buy them something special? Need some help? Look no further. Here are some gift recommendations, recommended by a K-POP fan themselves (me!).

K-POP Albums

All K-POP artists release albums, and unlike the old, boring CDs of the past, K-POP albums are collectible pieces. Some look like books, others photo albums, and some special edition albums can even include plushies and bags. Take for example the special edition of IVE's album Secret, which was also a blind box.

So think of their favourite artists, and try and find their latest album – or any of their albums. You can usually find K-POP albums online, or in some physical music stores.

Photocards

Just like albums, K-POP photocards are also collectible pieces too. Some fans go to great lengths to collect photocards of their favourite member, such as by buying multiple albums in the hope of pulling their bias.

A random photocard is usually included in a K-POP album, so if you're choosing to buy an album as a gift, you may be buying two gifts in one. But if you want to get a photocard of a particular member, you can look online – usually on K-POP store sites or bidding websites – to find users selling different photocards.

If there's one thing K-POP has lots of, it's merchandise. Whether that be clothes, accessories, light sticks, plushies, cosmetics … you name it, a group has probably released merch of it at some point.

Before, the main piece of merchandise for a group was a light stick. But now, plushies are the main event. Groups such as TWICE, BLACKPINK, Stray Kids, BTS and ATEEZ (just to name a few) have characters representing each member of a group. They then have plushies, keyrings, blankets and so much more available with those characters.

Many K-POP fans love to get these characters, as it shows their favourite group or member without being too obvious – so only real fans know where it is from.

When watching videos of their favourite artists, many fans notice the food and snacks their favourite idols enjoy, so why not get them some to try? Popular snacks include ramen, jelly sweets, crisps and fruit drinks.

Many supermarkets have started stocking a small number of these items, but if you can't find them there, then there are many online stores that also sell these items.
